The General

The General was created using a multi-layer stencil technique. Different shapes were cut out of several sheets of paper with a scalpel. Each stencil was placed on the paper and the exposed area was filled with color. After the paint dried, the next stencil was applied and colored. Layer by layer, the entire image was gradually built up and completed.
